I am Nick Isip. My name is a combination of the English word "nick" and a local term "isip". Maybe it's "providential" -- the word "nick" means "at the exact or proper time", for in the order of existence I am the last in a brood of four. On the other hand, "isip" in English means "think", which aptly distinguishes humans from the rest of creation.
"On Second Thought" is the title of my column in our college publication. Because anything and everything, no matter how serious or funny, is worth a second thought... to be able to arrive at a better perspective or opinion. More so because the act of "thinking" is made more exciting with our gift of free will. And free will allows us to have differing view of things. Yet even when we have to disagree in opinions, we cannot be disagreeable in our humanity. For in our world, I believe nothing is really black or white... often it is in the shade of gray.
I like to use my blog mainly to express my considered opinion of issues that interest me. And on second thought, it is my expression of myself and my humanity.
